Business continuity plan

Report by Risk Management on the testing of the Business continuity Plan for the year 2023.

As part of the Business continuity policy framework, the company has to conduct BCP testing annually. As such, the company conducted the business continuity testing in line with the policy and Business Impact Analysis on December 21, 2023. The objective is to test the business continuity of critical areas of businesses in case of IT system crash by using the recovery site infrastructure from Nizwa Branch. The head office at Muscat is chosen to be the non-accessible one as the major sourcing of business is done at the head office level. In case of non-accessibility of any of the two branches, the head office location and facilities can be used to accommodate the business continuity operations pertaining to the branches with minimum downtime. The testing was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Risk Management and Internal Audit. The critical functions were tested by users and reviewed and verified by the Risk management and internal Audit. The Business continuity plan was tested successfully without any downtime and any data loss. The necessary infrastructures available at the Alternate site were found satisfactory. .
